The Artisan’s Well is a place to publically explore thoughts and ideas on the creative endeavours that consume me.  I imagine it as a place to draw from the well of artifacts (various artifacts generated (mostly) by others) in order to quench the creative thirst that drives me to that well on a regular basis, and that sustains creative life.  I know… I’m pushing the analogy, I’ll admit I am a chronic over-user of analogies.  My only saving grace (perhaps) is an attempt at metaphoric consistency.

I can’t promise to keep it simple, as I do like a little complexity.  It may also be a bit long-winded at times as I explore some small trinket that inspires me to make an improbable link to answer a deep philosophical question.  And it may not always make sense, as sometimes the things that interest me most are not very sensible.  If you have found your way here, you are either someone who already knows me, isn’t at all surprised by the above claims, and knows to take them lightly, or you are someone who, on a whim, took an exit from the internet highway (or tollway?), and landed at a little forgotten hamlet and may decide to explore here or not, depending on your mood at the time.  Either way, I trust that you may find something to amuse, inspire or confound you, as is your desire.
